WEDDIN MOUNTAINS NATIONAL PARK

Public BBQ

This tranquil camping ground nestled within the national park offers a surprisingly well-equipped retreat from civilization. The site features clean, well-maintained toilets and convenient gas barbecues, complemented by fire pits and picnic tables that create perfect gathering spots. The walking tracks are clearly marked and cater to various fitness levels, though the terrain becomes steep and rocky near trail ends - something to consider for older visitors. Ben Halls Cave provides a rewarding half-hour walk, while the gorge walk extends to a more challenging two-hour return journey. Wildlife sightings are common, and the panoramic views are spectacular. Most visitors find themselves with the entire place to themselves, creating an authentic bush experience. The combination of quality facilities and pristine natural surroundings makes it an ideal base for multi-day exploration.
